Mule's first stop after leaving Michigan was Scottsdale, Arizona where he landed a job waiting tables inexpensive restaurant. The restaurant had a large private room for meetings and parties and it was always good to be assigned to the room because the tips were incredible. Not to mention interesting people would show up for these two to three thousand dollar meals. The most interesting was this band of wealthy "retired" union executives that had inside joke behind what was called the TURP meaning trade union retirement plan used to do doom to unions of the late 20th century into thinking their "plan" (in cooperation with crooked politicians and millionaires and donors). They also happen to be funny pranksters that would hold golf events at the local super fancy hotel and golf course complex in their target were there we were rich parents. Once this married man got drinking stories commenced like this one. In the evening, once parents were drunk or high in the set themselves up on the second or third hole to "bomb" their aging parents with well-placed call shots. That's where the noting that the parents paid for generals golf lessons all their lives in these very pranksters turned on them as a joke. In 11 contests, set up by what I'll call the turf pranksters. The joke amongst them turned it TURP plan into the trade union retirement Fox there's for turf. That's a whole another story.
